Tony2Ton shares SUPER easy and delicious ASIAN CAJUN FUSION recipes and more. Growing up my parents owned a Pho restaurant in Portland, OR. So I was always in the kitchen with my dad and that is where I fell in love with food and cooking. Then we sold the restaurant and moved across the states to a small town call Venice, LA. Just an hour away from New Orleans. Venice is a fisherman’s Paradise! Lots of seafood!! We owned a crab boat and a couple shrimp boats. And growing up on a shrimp boat and around Cajun food is where I got to fusion Asian food and Cajun food together. But after highs school, I didn’t follow my passion and listened to my dad to become an Automotive Technician. I like what I do but I love cooking. I love creating new recipes and bringing them to the table for friends and family. I love people’s reactions when they try my food. Today, I have a Texas Beef Brisket to share with yall.
Texas is known for its classic brisket preparation, involving a dry rub spice blend and a long rest in an outdoor wood smoker.
In my opinion, a slowly smoked brisket is the absolute best brisket available. It’s tender and rich with pink smoke rings around each piece and thick chewy bark.

Couple of things brother, the trim job on that brisket was awful, the bark looks good but too crusty on the edges. I can guarantee you that it's a little bit hard on those edges, and you should have let it rest for at least 10 hours. It looks tender but not tender enough I gave it a 6 and 1/2 out of 10. As far as looks. The bark looks like an 8 and 1/2 to a 9 though. You did okay
